A.R.Rahman is a World renowned Musician. It seems that, the other members of his family also don't want to be left behind. Already, G.V.Prakash Kumar, the Son of A.R.Rahman's Sister is rocking in the Music industry.

Now, it the turn of the A.R.Rahman's sister A.R.Reihana to make her presence felt in the industry. Already, she has been part of Music composition for few Tamil films like 'Machi', which featured Dushyanth, Keerthana, and Shuba Poonja.

A.R.Reihana is the mother of G.V.Prakash Kumar. She is a famous Playback singer, Music composer and RJ. Now, she is all set to make her debut in the Mollywood also.

A.R.Reihana is composing Music for the film 'Manchotile Veedu'. As a matter of coincidence, her Father R.K.Shekhar too served as famous Music Composer in Mollywood.

“What Happens When a Few Pages in a Novel Goes Missing?”

'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom' is the movie produced by V.S.Rajkumar and co-produced by K.sathish. It is directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan.

'Thenmerku Paruvakkatru' fame Vijay Sedhupathi and Debutante Gayathri are playing the lead roles in this film. A.R.Rahman's Student Ved Shanker is making his debut. Cinematography is by C.Premkumar and Editing is by R.Govindaraj. Gavee takes care of the Art Direction.

'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom' is based on a real-life incident. Regarding this, the Co-producer of the movie Satish says, "This is a film inspired from a chapter in the life of cameraman Premkumar (of Pasanga fame). Prem and Balaji are good friends and Balaji was witness to the incident that happened."

Satish also adds that, "What happens when a few pages in a novel goes missing? There's no continuity and you won't understand the story. The film deals with short term memory loss, and has been said in a humorous tone."

One of India's most successful cricket captains, Saurav Ganguly though retired is not too far from the spotlight as he does commentaries and is also a game show host. Now he seems poised to make his grand entry into films. The cricketer recently watched Telugu film, Golconda High School starring Sumanth and loved it so much he went ahead and bought the remake rights for the film.
Now the film will be remade in Bengali and Ganguly himself is keen to play Sumanth's character, sources have reported. Given his natural flair it won't be surprising if he rocks in this new innings as an actor!

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi - Double OK

If you can call director Rajesh a master in reflecting modern day youngsters on screen, films like 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' and 'Boss Engira Baskaran' are there to add strength to the claim. He is now gearing up for the release of 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi'.
Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin's maiden attempt as an actor, 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' is ready for release. The film has Hansika Motwani opposite Udhayanidhi, besides Santhanam, the inevitable man of Rajesh movies.
Says Rajesh, "Udhay has done a fabulous job. So has Hansika. OKOK is a laugh-a-thon with Santhanam at his best." Udhayanidhi too is upbeat. He says, "Rajesh is a great filmmaker. He knows what the audiences want. His penchant for comedy is widely known and am sure OKOK will rock".
Recently, the teaser trailer of 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' was released and it became an instant hit among the masses. It was one of the most shared videos in these parts, on social networking sites.
In no time, it spread like a wildfire on social networking sites and garnered more number of likes and comments, with netizens saying that they laughed like anything while watching it.
After 'Ovvuru manushanukkum ovvuru feeling...' in 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' and 'Nanbendaaa....' in 'Boss Engira Baskaran', the 'Vaaliba vayodhiga anbargaley...' opening line from Santhanam in the teaser of 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' has now become a rage among youngsters.
The film also has cameo appearances by Rajesh's lucky mascot, Jammy aka Arya and Andrea Jeremiah.
Another important highlight of the film is said to be the music of Harris Jayaraj. This is first time for the composer to join hands with Rajesh. "His songs are extremely good," says the director with an optimistic smile.
With so many plus points, 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' will be backed by the aggressive promotions of Udhayanidhi during its release. We're all game for this one; for we know it will be one healthy laugh riot!

Popular dancer in Alfonsa, who appeared in Bassaha in the song Ra Ra … is rushed to hospital in critical condition after she reportedly consumed tablets.

Alfonsa was living with her lover Vinod Kumar from Kalpakkam, in Chennai.
On Sunday, she returned from Dubai and reportedly had a quarrel with his lover. She was shocked to see him hanging from the ceiling in the wee hours of today.
Alfonsa returned home and decided to end her life by consuming tablets. She was immediately rushed to nearby hospital in a critical condition.

Kumaravelan has roped in Kishore and Sneha to play the leads. An eight-year-old debutant will play an important character in the film.

Director AMR Ramesh's Vana Yuddham, a bio-pic on sandalwood smuggler Veerappan is almost complete.
The latest buzz is that actress Jayachithra plays the role of Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the film.

Says Ramesh, 'We will have Jayachithra playing the role of the Chief Minister in the film. During the period of Veerappan's encounter, it was the then CM Jayalalithaa who gave all the freedom to DGP Vijayakumar in terms of carrying forth the operation.'
'My movie would not throw Veerappan in bad light. We have done enough research and I don't see any controversy in it'.

Director Murugadoss' Brother Is a Hero Now

A.R.Murugadoss has become one of the biggest Directors in Indian Cinema. Recently, he became as successful Producer too through the movie 'Engeyum Eppodhum', which featured Jai, Anjali, Shravanand and many others.

Now director-turned-producer Murugadoss has decided to launch his younger brother Saravanan. He is launching Saravanan in his own Production venture.

Earlier, Murugadoss teamed up with Fox Star Studios for the movie 'Engeyum Eppodhum'. He has decided to join hands with Fox Star Studios in his second venture.

One of A R Murugadoss' Assistants named Kinslin is directing this film. It is touted to be a Romantic thriller. It is to be mentioned that, Anjali would become the Heroine in Murugadoss second production venture too. This could have been probable, as he was satisfied by Anjali's performance in his first film.

The Music Composer Gibran, who made his debut through the film 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' would be scoring the Music for this film. The other details are expected to follow soon.

Director-turned-producer AR Murugadoss is all set to launch his brother Saravanan as hero.
After Engeyum Eppodhum, Murugadoss will be doing the movie with Fox Star Studios. The movie will be directed by one of his assistants, Kinslin.

Buzzis that Anjali, who acted in Engeyum Eppodhum, will play female lead in the movie again.
Sources say that the movie, which is yet to be titled, is a romantic thriller. Gibran, who debuted with Vagai Sooda Vaa will be the composer for this film.

Recently the Mankatha team flew to Singapore to take part in the ITFA Awards. Mankatha won awards at four different categories.

Mankatha took Awards for Best Film, Best Director(Venkat Prabhu), Best Cinematography(Shakti Saravanan), Best Supporting Actor(Premgi Amaran).

Kamal Haasan has done a photo shoot for his Viswaroopam at Mehboob studio in Mumbai.
The film is in the final stages of completion as Kamal is keen to send it to Cannes Film Festival in May.

It was said to be a hush-hush photo shoot, as heroine Pooja Kumar tried to cover her face from the media photographers who came to know about it.
Viswaroopam has Kamal Haasan, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Samrat Chakravarthy, Zarina Wahab, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sekhar Kapoor in a special appearance.

Kondan Koduthan Movie Review
After a lot of action and hero-centric movies , here comes Kondan Koduthan, a movie that speaks about family values and relationships. Director G Rajendran has made a movie on an emotional theme that is interesting to watch. Besides the lead stars Kathirkaman and Advaitha, the film has Ilavarasu, Sulakshana and Meera Krishnan in the cast.

Story
The movie occurs in a village. Rasu (Kathirkaman ) is a kabbadi player and is all set to marry Sevandhi (Advaitha), his uncle Chellaiyah's (lavarasu) daughter. But things take a turn when Rasu's sister's wedding with Sevvandhi's brother fails. This results in enmity between Chellaiyah and Rasu's parents. The family separates.
Performance
With Ilavarasu, Sulakshana, Ganja Karupu and Raj Kapoor on the cast, Kondam Koduthan makes an interesting watch. There are no action sequences or punchlines but the movie has enough elements to make one glued to the screen. Emotional performance by lavarasu is worth a watch.
Analysis
Music is by Deva and the song Thanjavur Gopuram is the catchy one. It appears in three places, Rajendran besides directing handles camera too. The beauty of village is captured well. Produced by P Bharathy and Master Sriram, the family drama lives up due to a good performance by the likes of Ilavarasu, Kondan Koduthan passes muster.

Vijay Encounter Specialist in Thuppakki?

The upcoming film Thuppakki which brings together mercurial director, the diminutive A.R. Murugadoss, and Ilayathalapathy Vijay together for the first time, has aroused lot of curiosity amid the fans of Vijay as well as the director, who has a whopping 100 percent success rate in films he has directed so far in Hindi and Tamil.
The film is another first in the sense that Vijay gets to pair up opposite the lovely Kajal Aggarwal, who has been making rapid strides in Kollywood and Tollywood. Sources close to the Unit say that Vijay plays an 'encounter specialist' in the role a cop based in Mumbai. It wasn't without confusion that Murugadoss arrived at his final script to suit Vijay's image and his acting limitations.
Vijay reportedly faced two challenges in the film by taking on the cop's role. Murugadoss is said to have told him in plain terms prior to the commencement of the movie's shoot that Vijay better spruce up his 'shooting skills' instead of 'posing' as if he is shooting. Vijay later underwent a professional shooting course in Mumbai in order to prepare himself for the role.
The other challenge for Vijay is that he has been asked to pump at the gym to get a '6 pack-abs look' for the climax sequences. The director, a tough task-master, would surely make Vijay sweat it out at the gym to get the desired look. Whether or not Vijay would be able to achieve a convincing physique the way Suriya did it for Ghajini remains

Now all those who don't remember Sneha, we don't blame you. Sneha was launched by Salman Khan in a film called 'Lucky' and till date she is best known as Aishwarya Rai's look-alike. Sneha then went on to do a film with Sohail Khan called 'Aryan' which also failed to do much to her career.
