Finally, it's a great way for the 'Mankatha' team to end 2011 with. Following huge laurels and big praises for making a magniloquent movie, Google Zeitgeist has labeled Mankatha at No. 7 position for its wide search in 2011 while rest of the movies are Hindi and English.

Says sources from Google: "To compile the 2011 Year-End Zeitgeist, we studied the aggregation of billions of queries people typed into Google search this year. We use data from multiple sources, including Insights for Search and internal data tools. We also filter out spam and repeat queries to build out lists that best reflect the spirit of the times. All of the search queries we studied are anonymous—no personal information was used."

Combination of top most blockbuster heroes will be a great feast for the respective fans. Even the common audience will be taken aback for this move. It has been in the practice for so many decades that top heroes coming together in the same movie.
During the days of MGR and Sivaji, it was claimed that they paired for a film Koondukkili, the only film. The subsequent heroes too followed this as we had the combinations of Sivaji – SSR, Sivaji – Muthuraman; Kamal – Rajini in Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu, Ninaithale Inikkum, 16 Vayathinile; combination of Prabu-Karthik as in Agni Natchathiram, Rajini – Prabu in Guru Sishyan.
These are samples of dual hero projects which proved a rare and rewarding attempts. Now there are longing talks for brining together Thala Ajith and Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Sources which draw attention to the producers suggest that they can take up the record breaking Hindi film Sholay. This film created history in the then Bombay screens by running for years together.
Dharmendra and Amitabh executed such an awesome roles in the movie. Quoting this success formula, some circles in Kollywood have suggested to some of the mega producers to think of remaking Sholay. In that event Ajith and Vijay could be ideal pairs, claim the sources, which will be the hottest thunder in Kollywood.

'Missing' Pak actress Veena Malik is back in her country for visa renewal to Lahore via Wagha border, where her friend Ashmit Patel had come to drop her. She had mysteriously disappeared from Mumbai where she was shooting for a film. Actress was in the heat of a storm for posing nude in the Indian edition of FHM magazine with only an ISI tattoo on her arm. She alleged that the magazine airbrushed out the thong she was wearing during the shoot. Earlier, A missing person's case has been registered at the Bandra police station in Mumbai.

FIR against Vidya Balan for 'indecnet' Exposure

Hyderabad Police have registered a FIR against actor Vidya Balan, following a complaint by an advocate, who alleged that she had posed for indecent photographs on the posters and promos of the film The Dirty Picture. The complainant, Sai Krishna Azad, a practicing advocate, had last month approached the Nampally court here and filed a petition, in which, he had alleged that the posters and promos of the film were "obscene" and were "causing inconvenience to women" in the Nallakunta area and other parts of Hyderabad. Following a court directive, a case was booked against Vidya Balan under Section 294 (Obscene acts and songs) and relevant sections under the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, Nallakunta Inspector of Police M Suman Kumar said.

Anna Hazare, the man who turned the attention of the whole nation towards him for his battle against corruption, will be in Chennai on Sunday. Besides attending so many events that are lined up, he will watch a Tamil movie too.
The Gandhian will watch 'Mudhalvar Mahatma' at a preview theatre in Chennai at 10.45 am. The Tamil movie is an interesting fiction which deals about 'What will happen if Mahatma Gandhi becomes the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu?'
Meanwhile, the buzz in Kollywood is that attempts are being made by a top director to make a political thriller, which will have a character inspired by Anna Hazare.
"The script work is currently on. The movie is about the protagonist's fight against corruption. A character inspired by Anna Hazare is the role model of the hero of the film," sources say.
